The Golden Odyssey is a sailing event created for all sailors of the Adriatic cruising grounds who want to sail to Greece in a convenient, fun and safe enviroment of an organized flotilla.

It is a family-friendly event, based on exploring new places, meeting new people and most importantly, having fun. Also, you will be given all the assistance you will be needing.

The voyage will start on Saturday, July 3rd in Piran on the Slovenian coast and end on Saturday, July 17th, 2021 on Lefkas island on Greece. It will include sailing through four different countries, meeting different cultures and finding your new favourite cruising spots.

At your convenience, you will be able to join on later entry points (Pula, Rogoznica, Vieste).

What do I need?

To apply, a 30-55 feet sailboat with safety equipment, a skipper’s licence and at least minimal sailing experience is needed. If necessary, a skipper can be supplied at extra charge. The voyage is suitable for less experienced sailors. Families are most welcome.

If you don’t own a boat and also want to join, you also have options to charter a boat or a cabin.

What do I get?

Participant fee covers all berthing costs at every stop, free complimentary items (polo shirt, flag, boat sticker, GO! logbook, other sponsor items (giftbag)), free dinner and programme on first and last day, special prices at selected restaurants on every destination, free organization and support (technical, medical, administrative), route and weather advice and free access to photo and video material of the trip.

Historical sightseeing will be offered at destinations (surcharge).

What do I do after the event?

After finishing the voyage, Golden Odyssey participants will have several different options. At your convenience you can either:

-Join a return voyage, organized for the part of flotilla wanting to sail back after the arrival to Lefkas

-Sail back on your own or continue the sailing vacation in Ionian part of Greece and sail back later

-Fly back and have a professional skipper return your boat home

-Continue the sailing vacation in Greece and leave the boat there while you fly back. Several dry-berth options are available in the area.
